The “Boys” are back in Austria 2008
by Ralph Grille
Great concerts in Graz / Orpheum and Vienna / Reigen! A strong nucleus of fans from Austria, Germany and Switzerland too, came to the amazing gigs, to support our heroes.
Two rousing shows, but the concert in Vienna / Reigen Club were full of surprises. The supporting band Nasty Habits played together with Nick Simper a fresh version of the Deep Purple classic Emmaretta. By the way, the Nasty Habits are an Austrian Cultband with a lot of Wiener Schmäh – the typical Viennese sense of humour and specialized to support Rock heroes like Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, Ian Paice, Asia etc.
Another surprise were the Good Old Boys – interpretation of Black Night. Let me explain, it were no Deep Purple – nostalgia – shows, but amazing, powerful Rock´n`Roll.
I like to say thank you very much indeed to Nick Simper & Good Old Boys and Nasty Habits.
