Hi Nick!! Just found your site and all kinds of good stuff on it. I've been a fan since the 60s of MK I and played lots of it in various bands over the years. When we auditioned for new bass players we had them play Emmeratta. But it was a version we got from a friend in England in '69 where you tear up the bass and very good highs on Ian's drums. Not the version that was on Purple Passages which seemed muddy with no high ends. Can you can give some info on why there were two versions and why the 'better bass' version didn't make it to vinyl? Was Emmeratta the last recording for MK I?
