Great site Nick. Honoured to see a pic of me in there. I see you've kept quiet about depping with C&W bands, lol!

Nick, i found your site through a link someone sent to my website www.theguitarcollection.org.uk. I've been a johnny Kidd fan for as long as i can remember and have some great photos of Mick Green and Johnny Spence gigging as the Pirates at the Halfmoon in Putney last year. Also on my archive page you'll see pics of Johnny Kidd and the New Pirates --supplied by Mick Stewart! He now lives in the States and you'll be interested to see some pics of him taken recently.I hope you'll take the time to visit my site which features old, rare and unusual electric guitars--currently i have about 70--apart from featuring current and ex-Pirates!! I really enjoyed reading your bio and i'm looking forward to the next chapter.... Best Regards Guy Mackenzie

The house that Jon Lord refers to is Deeves Hall in Hertfordshire. According to Jerry Bloom's book "Black Knight - The Ritchie Blackmore Story" Lord and Nick were sharing a room and experience a few weird things, such as tappings on the window and creaking floorboards. The building was reputedly haunted, although how much of it was down to Ritchie's penchant for practical jokes is open to question!

Saw on Youtube 1968 Playboy After Dark interview where Hefner asks Lord about forming a band and that you all lived together to get close but it ended up being a haunted house. Hefner glosses over it, but Jon Lord insisted that the house was haunted and saw it with his own eyes. What was the story? I can find no reference to this anywhere on the net.

The Angel's web presence is sadly lacking at the moment. If anyone wants a ticket, e-mail me and I'll reserve them for you.

Great news about the gig in Bedford on the 9th March, but the Angels website is 5 months out of date, their myspace entry has gone and they don't do enquiries by phone. How to get a ticket?
